Shadow Days October -December Open House Admissions Procedures 1. Take the Archdiocesan High School Placement Test given in December. (If a student is ill on the testing date, her parent/guardian should contact the admissions Office on the following Monday for information concerning a make-up date.) 2. Submit the Mount de Sales application for admission and application fee by the announced deadline. 3. Students attending Catholic schools in the Archdiocese of Baltimore must also complete the Archdiocesan High School Form authorizing their current school to submit for review their elementary/middle school transcript, standardized test scores, and teacher recommendation. (Students attending all other schools must complete a similar form which can be obtained from the Mount de Sales Academy Admissions office.) 4. Prospective students and parents have an interview with a member of the Mount de Sales Academy staff or faculty. Admissions Criteria 1. Demonstrate a strong desire to attend Mount de Sales Academy. 2. Demonstrate sufficient academic potential to meet the demands of the Mount de Sales Academy curriculum. (Scores on the Archdiocesan High School Placement Test are at or above grade level in Reading, Math, and English and elementary/middle school records indicate a level of performance that is at least average or above in all subject areas.) 3. Demonstrate conduct, effort, attendance, and timely arrival at school that is satisfactory or above. 4. Satisfactorily complete an interview with a member of the Mount de Sales Academy staff or faculty. 5. Mount de Sales Academy may be able to accept transfer students for admission to grades 10 or 11.
