Motivated by the need to educate the whole person, Mount de Sales Academy encourages each student to participate in extracurricular activities. Clubs at Mount de Sales offer students opportunities to share their talents and gifts.

Students may choose from a variety of clubs and activities including Sodality, Academy Players (Drama), Ionic Columns (Yearbook), Images (Literary Magazine), Academy Club (assists with special events such as Open House), Debating Club or clubs related to subject areas such as the Latin Club.

Students, who meet certain academic criteria and demonstrate leadership, service and character, may be selected for membership in the National Honor Society. Leadership skills may be developed through service on the Student Council.

Foreign travel to various European countries offers students opportunities to experience other people, their cultures and languages firsthand giving greater depth to their classroom studies. Field trips appropriate to individual subject areas also serve to enhance the students educational experience.

Mixers, Homecoming and Christmas Dances and the Junior-Senior Prom are fun-filled social occasions.

The transition for incoming freshman students is made easier with the guidance provided by their Big Sisters, members of the Junior Class. An orientation program for incoming freshmen and transfer students held just prior to the start of school offers invaluable help to both students and parents.
